Why poster series?
Poster
is commonly used for public context. Although it can be place in private places, the production of poster is usually aimed to reach wide range of people.
The main use of the posters are also to provide static visual of a message in a series. Nowadays, the existence of the medium is associated with the context that comes with the message. People expect to see poster as an advertising tool, or propaganda. For some people, it is seen as being “decorative that provides information”. However, the effectiveness of the medium depends on when and where it is put. In this case we are interested to put these up in urban area, where it’s the right place to attract wide range of people.
Rationale
The content of the poster series is visualizing how one message is being placed in two different mediums, and how the medium itself ‘reshape’ the message.
